Story
We are taking on the Great North Run to raise money for Meningitis Now, in honour of Harriet's baby nephew Oscar.
After a busy few months we've both started training properly now, which is a little late so this is going to be a proper challenge for both of us.
Why Meningitis Now?
In 2012 Harriet's nephew Oscar Hayes passed away suddenly after contracting pneumococcal meningitis at the age of just 7 months. Needless to say, this was a devastating loss for Amy (Harriet's sister) and the whole family. A loss that has changed their lives forever.
We will be running in Oscar's memory, but this event is also to raise money for Meningitis Now in the hope that in the future no one will lose their life to meningitis and anyone affected by it will get the support they need to rebuild their lives.
Together we can fight this and make a huge difference. So please give what you can and in return we'll be forcing ourselves to just keep putting one foot in front of the other!
