Fundraising for Cardiac Risk in the Young
Dan was a fit and healthy 28 year old young man who sadly died in his sleep on March 19th 2015 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. Since then his family have been working with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) to raise awareness and stage screening sessions to detect problems with young people before more life's are lost. Any money I raise from completing the 2 marathons will go directly to Dan's memorial fund to help the family stage further screening sessions. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
