Those who know me will know that I am immensely proud of the fact I am half-Colombian! For those yet to visit, add it to your bucket list and go when you can, for the country and its people truly are some of the most special this World has to offer.

However, it is also a country of big inequalities which has been through particularly tough times over the past few decades. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has only made these inequalities greater and more evident, in particular in access to healthcare.

FOCSA raises funds to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children in Colombia. In particular, liaising with local hospitals and healthcare practitioners, they help provide life-saving equipment where it is needed most. 

Those who have known me for over 20 years will know that I hung up my running shoes a long time ago and those who have met me since will be wondering "what running shoes??"! 

With a busy job and 3 young boys at home training has not exactly gone to plan. However, with your generous support and knowing that together we will be helping FOCSA change the lives of Colombia's families and children during these difficult times, I know that all will be fine on the day ...
