Story
So I'm running the Brighton marathon..
Along with my good friend Dave Seward (also raising money for a very good cause), and after more than a few drinks I've agreed to run/walk/crawl the entire 26 mile race.
Whether or not I make it across the line on all fours or with both my nipples intact remains to be seen but either way it will have been done for an extremely worthwhile cause. I've chosen to raise money for The Alzheimer's Society.
Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases rob people of their dignity and families of their loved ones. My grandfather was hit particularly hard by this disease and its impact on both the sufferer and their loved ones cannot be overstated.
With an ageing population it's likely that this disease will become more prevalent in the coming years. At present causes are poorly understood and treatments are palliative in nature.
By donating to the Alzheimer's society you can help to fund research into this disease which may result in the development of future preventative treatments.
So donate today and I'll do my very, very, very best to cross the line and make you all proud.
Thanks in advance,
