Story
This is the final time I will be involved as Dean in the Robes Sleepout. It has been a joy to be part of this wonderful project since it all began. I remember Mandi, a friend, coming to me with the idea of a sleepout. It sounded like a great idea and so we agreed it could happen at Southwark Cathedral. As someone who likes his creature comforts it does me good to experience a night when sleeping is less than easy - but I know that I am supporting those for whom this is their daily reality. Jesus is very clear that the needs of the poorest should be our priority. 'The Son of Man had nowhere to lay his head' is what the gospels tell us; in our sisters and brothers who are homeless we meet the restless Jesus.
Please support me and help make my final sleepout a night to remember.
