Story

I've created this page because after seeing a friend complete the Chase the Sun South Challenge challenge a couple years ago I thought it would be something that would really push me to the limit of my abilities. The idea is simple, as the sun rises in Tynemouth on the East Coast (04:27) we start riding and we then have to make it across to Prestwick on the West Coast before the sunsets (22:10), this is 200 miles across country with 10,500 feet of ascent. I want to make a difference for 3 charities Rainbows Hospice for Children & Round People, Prostate cancer UK and the Masonic Charitable Foundation as part of my participation in the Relief Chest Scheme, all funds raised will be split evenly between the charities.

As some of you will know I am a keen cyclist spending my spare time scaring the poor folk of Leicestershire & Rutland in my lycra, however I have never attempted to cycle 200 miles in 1 day. We will start in Tynemouth on the East Coast as the sun rises and must get across to Prestwick in Scotland before the sun sets. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
