Bupa Great South Run 2011 · 30 October 2011 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

It's not a long or interesting story as to why I'm doing this. I got drunk in the French Alps one night, convinced myself 10 miles wasn't that far/difficult to run and signed myself up. So with a slight hangover the next day BUPA surprised me with an e-mail saying I'd entered myself into the Great South Run.Thank you tequila.

But having seen the efforts of Kirsty Loveridge, Katie Stephenson aka Shortie and Amy Hawkins cycling 3000 miles across America in aid of the Alzheimers Society, I figured I'd make this count. Any money I raise will be donated to their overall justgiving fund and in turn go to the Alzheimers Society. Please give what you can, a few pounds, a few pennies, eventually it will be enough to help us fight this disease.
