Story

Hi everyone,

Motor Neurone Disease or MND has been in the public spotlight over the last year with famous sportspeople such as Rob Burrow suffering from the illness. Currently there is no cure for MND but research has improved massively over the last 20 years and I hope it will continue to do so. My family have dealt with this disease in the past and MND has a huge impact on the person with the disease and the family around them.

After a final takeaway binge the other night I decided I needed to do something. What better than an Ultramarathon for a self confessed runhater? So next year I will be running non - stop across the rugged Northumberland coastline, for 100km/62miles (I'm not sure what sounds worse). This will need to be completed within 24 hours and I hope to trundle over the finish line in around 15 (before the takeaway's in Bamburgh close for the night).

Any support you can give me would be fantastic!
