Last year Andrew and Neil raised over £1000 for Cancer Research by walking a major part of the Offer's Dyke in beautiful Wales through the Black Mountains. Thank you to everyone who helped with this. Beverley had recently recovered from cancer and we are all so thankful that she has done so well and been so brave.

This year on 20th March 2011 Andrew's mother passed away having been suffering from liver cancer which was secondary to a melomona in her eye a few years previous. During the final few weeks she was cared for by Andrew's father but had also recieved care from Marie Curie nurses and therefore this year we would like to raise some money for this worthy cause.

Neil and Andrew are going to walk along the Wicklow Way in Ireland during the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. The walk is planned to start at Ticknock woods (just north of Dublin) and complete at Glen Malure valley just south of the infamous Luggnaquilla Mountain. We will be walking some 50 Kilometres in just three days. We will be carrying everything that we need with us on the entire journey. The first day being the most testing at 27 km.

Itenerary.......

Saturday 28th May - Ticknock to Roundwood

Sunday 29th May - Roundwood to Laragh

Monday 30th May - Laragh to Glen Malure
