Story
I have been in Aviation for 25 years this year and have seen more take offs and landing than a lifetime of hot dinners. This year to mark that time I wanted to give something back. Aerobility offers disabled individuals, without exception, the opportunity to fly an aeroplane. For some, that amazing first flight is enough to change their outlook on disability forever: If I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do? Others realising that the fantasy of flight is truly in their grasp and can achieve their Private Pilots License. Aerobility allows disabled people to fly for a fraction of the commercial rate, with a fleet of 4 modified aircraft, and operations out of Blackbushe and Tatenhill Airport, 1000 new individuals participate with Aerobility a year.
This challenge will push me out of my comfort zone, those that know me will know I struggle with ladders nevermind the top of an aircraft, so embracing my fear of heights to help other overcome advertity feels like a challenge worth accepting. If you can donate a pound or two I will reward you with many pictures of me looking very scared, all for a fantastic cause.
