Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I recently learnt about a young man suffering from Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) which is a rare, genetic neurodegenerative disease. I realised how few people know about this rare but terminal disease. I want to support the charity who work to raise awareness, support families and fund research. MLD can hit at any age between 18 months and 40 years old. There is currently no cure but there is the promise of some treatment in the future.
This year I am running my 10th Brighton Marathon and at the age of 60 I thought it might be a good idea to up my game and try and raise a decent amount of money for this worthy charity. People like me take good health for granted but many people have their health stolen by cruel life changing illnesses like MLD.
