Story
Hello there.
You may have heard that in 2020, the world experienced a global pandemic. As a result of this my life got flipped, turned upside down. No more traveling with work, no more going to the office and much more time at home. So... I put on my walking boots and started going out for evening hikes as something to do.
Later in 2020, as holidays were not really possible, I decided to walk from my house to Chichester (approx 100 miles) over a few days. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Anyway, enough of this, I needed a challenge to get me off my backside again this year and, on Saturday 19th June, I will walk part of the Pilgrims' Way from Wye to Dover (35 miles or 55km). I will walk from Wye to Canterbury (15 miles [home of the famous Cathedral and infamous murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket]). From Canterbury, I will head to Dover (a further 20 miles away). 35 miles in a day... The furthest I think I will ever have walked in a day.
Honestly, I am doing this as a personal challenge but it would be great if I could also raise some cash for this great charity. If you can spare a few pennies then I would appreciate the support... (My mate Joe will be joining me).
Wish us luck!
Andy
