Story
On Mothers Day this year, I will be running my first (and probably only) marathon in Rome, Italy in memory of my mum who passed away in 2020.
I am raising money for Bury Hospice who provided my mum with phenomenal care in the last few weeks of her short battle with cancer. Given the COVID restrictions in place at the time, she spent most of this time alone and we know the staff were amazing with her and gave her company and made her comfortable during this difficult time when we couldn't be with her.
The hospital and staff are unbelievable and rely on charity and donations to enable them to provide this care, so please give anything you can in support
I have been training since September for this and it has been taking it's toll on my ageing body 😂 but have really enjoyed it. I am aiming first and foremost to complete the marathon but have a time of 4 hours as a goal I would like to achieve if my knees allow.
Thanks for your support
