Glossop Mountain Rescue is 65years old this year. It is 100% run and operated by volunteers who are ready 24/7 to respond to anyone who requires our help. This is normally in the wild and remote places above Glossop but the team does go all around the country if needed. Included floods and national searches for missing people. As a team we save countless lives over the years and help get answers for families that need it. This year we have had 41 call outs. The team is made up of 38 team members all who manage full times jobs and busy lives. The team is wholly funded by the local community. Without this continued fantastic support we couldnt provide the service that we do.
