Story
On 30 June 2005, I gave a second chance of life to a man desperately in need of a Bone Marrow transplant; not only saving this mans’ life, but also giving his family and friends a future that they would not have had with him. This inspired me to become a volunteer worker for the Anthony Nolan providing presentations in Schools and Colleges across the Yorkshire District about my experiences and highlighting the invaluable work that the Trust provides.
So, on November 2 2013, Reece and I will be trekking over 100km across the Sahara Desert. We have a minimum target of £4700 to raise in order to partake in the event. On average, it costs £100 to register an individual as a donor and so we aim to raise well over and above our target amount so we can provide the funds for more potential lifesavers. Every step we take will be in memory of every one who has been affected by leukaemia.
