Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 6th April in memory of my childhood friend David Lane. David died in 2001 of Cancer at the age of 35.

St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley helped him through the latter stages of his illness and helped him to be more comfortable through some of his most painful days. At St Catherine's Hospice they also made visiting as pleasant an experience as was possible, thus ensuring a happy and relaxed atmosphere during the final few weeks of his life.

I would (although it has been a long time coming!) like to repay the kindness shown in some small way. Now that I'm capable (I think!) of completing a sub-4 hour marathon I'm hoping that you will be able to sponsor me as much as you can afford to help St Catherine's Hospice continue the great work that they do.

I also wanted to raise money for a charity which is not only local but also close to my heart and has had a direct impact upon my life.
