Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the 2019 London marathon on Sunday 21st April for Sycamore Trust U.K. a local charity supporting the needs of families, carers and friends of children with autistic spectrum & aspergers disorders. Their aim is to offer a range of services specifically designed to educate the community and empower individuals of all ages to flourish and be valued members of society.

Sycamore Trust UK has given my sister in law advice and support through parent sessions she attends regularly with her son Rico who was officially diagnosed with autism in early 2018. Through the charity they have both been introduced to an exciting new project called S.W.A.P (speak with a picture). The programme is aimed at predominantly non-verbal children or children with limited communication skills. It uses an alternative communication system designed to provide individuals with the ability to share their wants and needs that can be widely used every day.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
