Story

My experience

27 years old now I had NHL at the age of 25 I was a fit young healthy man who was in the army I have done 2 tours

. I was in Thailand on a lads holiday the day I got back I felt very itchy and thought I was bit or something I went to see the doctor and he said just take some tablets you be ok.

A day later I passed out and got rushed into hospital where they did loads of tests and could not find anything wrong with me . I got sent for a X-ray and had 10 cm across my chest and 2 lymph notes in my right neck .

I went though a lot of test and everything I got told I needed 6 months of chemo and radio I had 3 months chemo and no radio . I was really lucky that chemo only made me tired for a few days , I found trying to keep fit and exercising really helped me get though my treatment, I said to myself after I finished treatment I want to get my hgv class 1 and I did remember never give up on what you want in life because you been ill cancer has really made me a stronger person and always willing to help anyone who going though it .

I am doing a 26 mile hike for a cancer in September to prove to myself and others that anything is possible try keep your head above water and the tuff times will get easier I promise
