"'Thank you for clicking onto this page! ♥
I believe many of us, to a greater or lesser extent, take our health for granted. Most of us are blessed with great health, however we all know friends and sometimes ourselves, who suffer from a bout of ill health which reminds us that health is a gift
Cancer is an all pervasive disease, and statistically, each of us have a 50% chance of being diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. So when a DHL colleague tragically dies after a long battle with cancer, I was keen to support and raise funds to fight this disease.
With a small team of DHL colleagues, we will bike 450 kms over 4 days from Vienna to Prague with the target of raising a minimum of £1000 each for charity
I really welcome your gift to Worldwide Cancer Research which supports pioneering discovery research to find innovative cures and treatments globally"
Many thanks, Andrew

The initiative is organized by Ton Verleg (DHL Express) and Koen Keuren (DHL Freight). Ton and Koen are both based in Bonn, Germany and passionate cyclists themselves, as well as regular fundraisers. This year, they are giving others the chance to join them on a mission to raise EUR 20,000 for brain cancer research. The inspiration for the project was the death of our former DHL Express colleague David Wilson, who battled brain cancer for seven years following his 2015 diagnosis. To raise this money, 20 DHL colleagues will cycle 460 kilometers over a period of four days, from Vienna to Prague. It will be a picturesque ride over smooth terrain, with overnight accommodation provided in between, sponsored by DHL Express. The tour is managed by a professional organization who will provide guiding riders and a van to take luggage from stop to stop.FUNDRAISING GOAL- Each participant needs to commit their efforts to raise EUR 1,000 by 31 October 2023. You can support now your colleagues who will be riding against cancer more than 100km per day, by donating today! Every euro will make a difference! Make part of it! The money will be donated to two organizations: Worldwide Cancer Research (UK) and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Toronto, Canada), where our colleague David Wilson received treatment in the final years of his life.
