Story
I'm running the 2023 London marathon in April and the Rob Burrow Leeds marathon in May for the MND Association.
This is a hugely important charity to me, and over the years I've rocked the MND bib on many races, to raise awareness of this terrible disease. Its been a great source of pride to wear the bib and chat to lots of people who have had their own experiences with MND.
In 2015 Eric Frank was diagnosed with MND, he went from being an active, working man to not being able to walk, talk, eat or do anything for himself. He continues to fight everyday but requires 24 hour support from family and carers. He is without doubt the bravest man i've had the privilege of meeting.
Ive witnessed first hand the strength and bravery of the Frank family and I have been given the opportunity to run the London marathon in 2023 to raise valuable funds to help support people in need. This will help to fund vital research to fight the disease and hopefully one day provide a cure.
Micaela, Izzy and Pat have supported me on many running adventures. Despite what they are going through they have stood and cheered me on come rain or shine.
I understand that we are living in a tough time financially but it would mean the world to me and the MND Association community if you could donate whatever possible. There is no cure for MND so every penny you can give takes us closer to finding one. Please dig deep and help Eric and families up and down the country.
Thanks for visiting my page.
Lots of love

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.
