Story

Dear All.

We have now completed the last challenge of the year, 550 miles but this time not in France but round the wilds of Southern Ireland.  Starting at Blarney Caslte and fininshing in Dublin via Killarney, the west coast and Galway.

Sadly my mother died two days after the challenge.  I was back from Ireland and was with her.  She was in the care of Salisbury Hospice where she had been for the past week.

Mother had fought very bravely against this horrible disease for over 4 years.  She received some first class treatment from Salisbury and Basingstoke Hospitals and by surgeon Myrddin (Merv) Rees DL FRCSs in the Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke.

However, we all seem to know someone who is affected by this terrible disease.

In these difficult times, charities are suffering badly and causes like this really do need support. I can assure you that EVERY PENNY you give will go to charity - that's because I pay in FULL for the cost of the trip personally so that everything you give goes to charity.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
