I'm currently in training for my 3rd half marathon; returning to the streets of the North East to take part in the Great North Run on Sunday 19th September 2010. This year I'm running for "Breakthrough Breast Cancer", a charity that ultimately aims to eradicate a disease that affects thousands of people every year, young and old. Any money I can raise will go towards research (at the Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre), campaigning and education work. Specifically, Breakthrough aim to raise enough money from this event to purchase an advanced digital microscope that will enable their scientists to view tumour samples in exceptional detail to learn more about breast cancer and how to treat it.

Any donations will be gratefully received and will inspire me to keep pushing on even when it really hurts!
