Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

This is my first half marathon, and I am delighted to be supporting JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as part of this challenge.

As many of you reading this page know my wife Donna whom I have been married to for over 11 years was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic during her teens.  Until we got married I had very little awareness of what it means to be a type 1 diabetic and the adaptations that have to be made to daily routines.  We have had our ups and downs with dealing with Donna's diabetes over the years but research and technology innovation is striving all the time to bring high standards of care and quality of life to sufferers.

Please help me to smash my target and raise as much as possible towards research into type 1 diabetes and if you are in London on the day of the Royal Parks Half in October do give me a shout!

Thanks all.
