Story
On the 3rd March 2016, whilst I training for this marathon, my grandmother 'Freda Currie' passed away after a very difficult few years fighting Alzheimer's disease and to help other sufferers as well as their families, I want to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer Scotland because it helps thousands of people across the country.
This charity helps carers, both professional and non-professional (relatives etc) so deserve help and recognition.
There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051.
Please sponsor me and help the 225,000 who will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes.
Thanks, Andy
