Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and here hoping you can help me.
I am running in the Great North Run (Half Marathon) in my final year of University in Newcastle to raise funds for the Alexander Devine Children's Cancer Trust which has been set up in the memory of Alexander Devine. Alexander was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in November 2001 at the tender age of just four years.
He endured operations, treatments and chemotherapy in his four year fight against cancer, with exceptional courage and bravery, with great diginity and without complaint.
In honour of his oustanding courage and strength this trust was formed with the long term aim of building and funding a Children's Hospice in the Berkshire area.
Alexander House will be a home from home environment providing respite and quality time for the whole family, palliative care, specialist respite care, 24 hour emergency care, advice and bereavement information and support for the family.
