Sleep Easy is a campaign to combat the problem of youth homelessness. Your fundraising goes directly to support local people, every penny stays in the region. YMCA Humber is calling on local residents to come together & sleep rough for one night on 7th February 2020 to support local, homeless young people. 

Harbour Place operate a 15 bed Night Shelter in Grimsby which is open 365 nights per year. We also operate Street Outreach services and provide other support services to those who are homeless or vulnerably housed. This support continues once in accommodation in order to help individuals bring positive change to their own lives.

In the past 12 months Harbour Place has supported over 200 rough sleepers off the streets of Grimsby and Cleethorpes and many of these individuals have been accommodated by YMCA Humber.

YMCA have very kindly agreed that the the Harbour Place team raise money primarily for Harbour Place, with a contribution going to YMCA Humber to contribute to their costs of staging the event.

YMCA Humber hope that this event will show young homeless people that the public do care about them & that they are trying to tackle the problem of homelessness by raising vital funds.The event will take place on 7th February 2020 at Freshney Place, Grimsby & Wilberforce College Hull, from 6pm to 6am. Participants will spend the night outside & get involved with a shelter building & some fun activities.
