Story
As many of you know, Nicky and I normally take part in the annual Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride in order to raise money for the Wellspring. For obvious reasons this is not taking place this year. Instead I plan to row the 100km from Manchester to Blackpool on my indoor rowing machine ( not all on the same day) whilst Nicky does the same distance but in stages on his bike. The Wellspring continues its fine work during these difficult times. All work is being done solely by the staff as no volunteers are allowed at present. Hot takeaway meals are provided for the homeless and food bags are prepared for the needy (initially about 150 per day but now down to about 40 per day) which have included NHS workers who, in the early days were unable to go shopping and the ever increasing numbers of people who now find themselves, through no fault of their own to be enduring hard times.
I realise that I can provide no evidence that I have achieved my aim, but I hope that those of you who know me will have trust in me.
I do hope you will support us.
