I’ve decided to take part in the Carlisle Half Marathon on Sunday the 12th of March, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on Sunday the 14th of May (even though I said I’d never do another marathon) and the Great North Run on Sunday the 10th of September 2023 to hopefully raise some much needed funds for this great charity. I’ve got 2 close friends that have lost family to this awful disease, so hopefully I can raise some money that could go towards finding a cure. My friend Sarah from Silloth lost her dad in 2006 to MND, a legend in the area and owner of Bills shop in Abbeytown. It wasn't known at that time to anyone what MND was without researching it. We were devastated to find out it was fatal and there is no getting better from it. My mate Ian lost his sister in 2020 after a 6 year battle with the disease. No family should have to go through this. So please help by donating if you can.
