Cyclone Pam has caused a major humanitarian crisis in the South Pacific Island Vanuatu. Vanuatu is only a 3.5h flight from Sydney, and we had the fortune to visit the Island twice in the last couple of years. Despite Vanuatu being one of the world's poorest countries, its people are among the most happiest, a rather unique combination that deserves respect and support when challenged by Mother Nature.
Vanuatu is an archipelago with over 80 island, 65 of them are inhabited. You can imagine the logistics required behind to distribute the help, and so far the category five cyclone caused more than 100,000 people urgently needing first aid, shelter, healthcare, clean water and sanitation facilities.
It requires so little to help Vanuatu people through this once in a lifetime crisis, so any support is highly appreciated.
