Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I raised over £400 for Hearing Dogs by doing the Great North Run and, with your help, I'd like to raise twice as much this year.  So, it's only fair that I run twice as far.  Here's why ....

Imagine missing an unexpected visitor because you can't hear the doorbell ring or being late for an appointment because you didn't hear the morning alarm.   Then imagine being given a wonderful companion who can hear the timing bell on the cooker and the piercing sound of a smoke alarm and who alerts you to them immediately.  This is the difference a hearing dog makes to the life of a deaf person.

Half of the dogs trained by the charity are from their own breeding progamme.  The other half are donated by breeders and members of the public and some are rescue dogs.  This is the difference the charity makes to dogs who might not otherwise have a future.

Hearing Dogs helps people and dogs but it costs money and that's where we can help them.   Sponsoring me through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.  The more you give, the bigger incentive I have to finish the course.

Thanks again!
