For those of you who know me well, you will have known I have always wanted to drive a HGV. Don't ask why, I don't know, I just have!  Maybe it’s from watching Long Distance Clara on Pigeon Street as a child!?

Anyway, this year being a big birthday, I decided that driving a HGV needed to go on the yearly achievement list. 

 

I found that Marie Curie runs a ladies driving challenge, which will not only complete one of my many achievements, but also raise money for a worthwhile cause. The fact that the challenge is also in my favourite part of the UK, and where my cousin lives, made it even more worthwhile. 

 

The Marie Curie Ladies Driving Challenge is to drive different vehicles alongside instructors in several vehicle zones located at different points around RAF Portreath.

 

The event is not a race or competition, but a chance to have an experience drive in a varied selection of vehicles.

 

Vehicles will range from Fire Engines, HGV’s Double Deckers, JCB’s and might even include monster trucks, steam engines and vintage cars!
