Walk of Courage in memory of Olivia Perry

Olivia was diagnosed with a large inoperable brain tumour in October 2011. She went through a long and hard battle, which she unfortunately lost in August 2013. One of the things that kept her spirits up during this time through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and numerous operations were her beads. In total Olivia "earned" approximately 850 beads each one signifying the strength, courage and determination she showed throughout this gruelling treatment. Each new hurdle was met with the words "what bead do I get for this?" they really did mean the world to her.
So it is in Olivia's memory that myself (Olivia's mum) and Olivias brother, William and sister, Harriet will be doing this walk to introduce the new bead to the UK and raise vital funds so that all children undergoing treatment for cancer can benefit from this program.
We would like to invite you to join us and together we will be carrying special bags full of Helping hands beads that we are introducing into the UK on September 21st 2014. We are walking from Sainsbury's Eastmayne Basildon to the Hospital in Basildon and back to the carpark in Sainsbury's. Approximately 8.4 miles.
You can join us by either going to Eastmayne Sainsburys in Basildon and getting a sponsor form or creating a Justgiving page and joining our team.
Please help us to support thousands of children with cancer and blood diseases in the UK by supporting this amazing event. Be informed, Be inspired, Be The Change.
