Strictly Dance 2023 Competition for Dr Kershaw's Hospice

On Friday 17th March 2023, I will be taking part in this fabulous dance competition and I would be grateful for any donations, no matter how big or small.
I am doing this for an incredible cause, to raise money for Dr Kershaw's Hospice, where my Dad passed away in June 2022 and who without, as a family we would have been totally lost and alone. They truly are the most incredible team of doctors, nurses and carers and gave Dad such peace and dignity in his final months with us. So I really do want to raise as much money as possible as they rely completely on donations and provide the most incredible service and care to not just their patients having end of life care, but also supporting the families, which I can tell you at first hand, is just invaluable.
I trained in Ballroom & Latin American dance when I was younger and you would think that would be an advantage, but as it has been about 30 years since I put on my dancing shoes, this is taking me completely out of my comfort zone and I'll be honest, after the first week of training it's not as easy as I thought it would be
!
My dancing partner is my sister Gail, who also trained when I did but who in the same way hasn't been on a dance floor in over 30 years! We will be one of 12 couples taking part at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham in front of a live audience and a panel of judges to try to take home the Glitter Ball trophy. We are currently in training under the direction of a local dance school before the competition, which I won't lie is a lot harder than we thought it would be but we are getting there!
Anything you can give would be so much appreciated to help us raise as much money as possible for Dr Kershaw's in memory of our wonderful Dad xxxx
Thank you xxxx
