2010 Edinburgh Marathon · 23 May 2010 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

On 23rd May this year I will be on the starting line for the Edinburgh marathon!  Most of you probably know this is my first attempt at a marathon and depending on how it goes it may well be the last!  I want to use the opportunity of completing this huge challenge to raise as much money as I can for a really worthwhile cause.

The MND Association is the only charity to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease in England.  It does fantastic work in helping patients and their families cope with the difficulties of day-to-day life and in giving them hope for the future through their research projects.

So please dig deep and donate now to support me in my fundraising for this valuable cause.  Every donation will help me to reach my aim of raising at least £500.  And to get through the training I'm going to need all the support I can get; your sponsorship will help motivate me along the 26 mile course to the finish!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
