Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and supporting Mental health UK.
I am hoping to play a part with my colleagues in meeting the 53 millions steps needed to March Around the world in the month of March.
I am planning to walk at least 150 miles and hoping to raise at least a £1 per mile to reach a target of £150 .
For the last 2 years I have been working from home I have missed my walk to and from work I have missed my work colleagues and their chat missed hearing about their life's missed the social aspects of just living life away from the same 4 walls of my Livingroom.
I understand I have been privileged to have these opportunity's when people have had to deal with far worse.
The point am making is that if I can see and feel the impact this pandemic has had to my mental and physical health am deeply concerned what effect Covid 19 has had on our younger generation. I don't have young kids to run after I don't have a dog to walk and I workout from home so 150 miles will be a challenge for me.
It will be 6 am wake up calls to get the mileage in before work and then another trek after 5pm when finished come Rain, sleet, shine or Thunder snow... everyday in March.
Unfortunately mental health is touching everyone's life in some shape or form and even more scarily in our younger generation more than ever!
So I would love your support with whatever donation you can give, it will be greatly appreciated as I know it feels like every penny is a prisoner just now for most people.
The funds I raise will go to Mental health UK's young people program (BLOOM)which is helping young people across the UK to build resilience so they can better protect and maintain their mental health through life's transitions
Promise I wont strap the smart watch on to my neighbours dog.
Thank you for all the support wish me luck !
