Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in the Ride London 100 cycling event on 30th July 2017. I've decided to ride to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society in memory of 'Big Bird' - Marion Bamsey.
For those of you who didn't know her Marion was a lovely caring person who spent many years as an A & E sister at Derriford hospital. She developed Alzheimer's in her early 50's, declining rapidly as the disease took hold and she lived for only 10 more years.
Marion was taken from us all in July last year having developed this disease tragically early in her life. It's a great cause and any donation would be greatly received and put to good use to assist in the ongoing fight against Alzheimer's.
I will be pedaling 100 miles around London and Surrey and would like to do it for a reason rather than just for fun. It will probably take 7 or 8 hours and some of it is even uphill !
Anything you can spare would be great no matter how small. Or you could even bake cakes, or similar tasty things, sell them at work or school and donate the proceeds. Everyone loves cakes!
