On 23-25th September, Jane and I will be joining around 20 cyclists to cycle from Marble Arch in London to L’Arc de Triomphe à Paris to raise funds for the inspirational work of International Justice Mission.

IJM works in the fight against human slavery - bringing the full strength of lawyers, investigators and healthcare professionals to free and care for those in slavery, and bring those responsible to justice. In my professional life I get to visit many amazing cities and cultures across India and South East Asia - and it is often in these places where unseen slavery thrives, and where the most vulnerable are targeted for bonded slavery or sex trafficking. In recent years, the rise of on-line sexual abuse of children - consumed largely from Western countries like UK and US - has becoming a prevalent and concerning phenomenon.

And that is why Jane and I think it is worth 3 days of sponsored cycling to raise awareness and raise funds. We will be accompanying and encouraging a mixed group of novice and more experienced riders to embark on the three day challenge involving 280km of cycling (plus a ferry ride to get us from Newhaven to Dieppe).
