Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Team AAB's JustGiving page.

People across AAB are taking part in the Balmoral 10K to raise funds for the University of Aberdeen Development Trust and women's health research.

Advances in research mean that women's healthcare has changed dramatically in the past 50 years. However, there are still significant risks to women's health and the health of their children, from fertility through to motherhood as well as further female-specific issues such as pelvic floor disorders, menstrual disorders, breast and cervical cancer and pregnancy and childbirth.

The Development Trust's research into women’s health is therefore instrumental in helping women live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Their ongoing £6million fundraising campaign looks to expand their scope and collaborations and attract world-class academic clinicians and researchers to focus on these areas with potential to bring the greatest benefits to women and their families." Find out more here.
