<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Many of you know my love for motorbikes. And adrenaline. And adventure. And helping others! So, you probably aren’t surprised that I am announcing my next motorbike fundraising adventure.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Are you sitting comfortably? Will I be?</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Ok – here is what I am doing. As the title of this page suggests, I am going for an IRON BUTT. That’s right, I am going to be riding my motorbike for SUCH a great distance, that my BUTT will be transformed. You may not believe me but it’s true.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">By doing this, with your help, I will be raising a significant amount of money for the Royal British Legion – a UK charity who help armed service people and their families. Not just those who fought in the two World Wars, but also those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting today and who have made a huge commitment and sacrifices for our country. The charity helps around 100,000 people each year. And this will be more possible with your donations!</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Poppies aren’t just for November</span></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The charity is well known and the Poppy Appeal, which is their annual fundraising campaign. But they care for people all year round. The current number of potential beneficiaries is estimated at 9.5 million. The mission of The Royal British Legion is to reach out to the 500,000 in need.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">So, this is why, in June, I am mounting my motorbike</strong> <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">to ride 1000 miles for the Poppy Appeal.</strong></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The catch is, I need to do the entire distance within 24 hours. Which means I have to ride about 700mile further than I have ever done before in 24 hours. The route will start at the Squires Café, in Newthorpe, and finish, well, at exactly the same spot, but during the course of the ride I will be passing through well-known areas such as Manchester, Carlisle, Glasgow, Inverness, Wick, Edinburgh and Sunderland and other areas I haven’t heard of like Fort William, Moray Firth and Berwick-upon-Tweed. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Where do you come in?</span></span></strong></p>

As it’s a long ride I will have plenty of time to be thinking about each and every one of my generous sponsors, and I pledge now that for every pound you sponsor me, I will spend a minute thinking about you, sending you positive thoughts of love and good karma, and this of course will in turn mean you will benefit from happy universal vibes. So, imagine, if you donate £40 you get a full 40 minutes of my undivided mental attention! How good is that?
