Dear friends,

Here I am again, apealling to your generosity to donate to this very worthwhile charity, Walk the Walk.  I once again managed to get a place on this year's MoonWalk, and then came an unexpected twist, resulting in the fact that I will not be walking, but am still eager to raise money for the cause. The unexpected development is that last month I was diagnosed with cataracts, and, for various reasons, would have to wait until November to have the operation if I did not do so in May. It was not easy to chose, but in the end I decided to let go of the Walk. 

I will walk (in spirit) with those friends I was looking forward to physically walking with, throughout that night of the 16th, urging them on and being company on the way - what a phonebill that will be!!
