Hackney Half Marathon 2022 · 22 May 2022 ·

Runners from around the community are taking to the streets of Hackney to run to raise money for life-changing mental health services!

Story

I’m going to run a half marathon in honour of Josh Pickles, someone who held a firm place in the hearts of me, my family and so many others - abundant with kindness, wit and are rare power to light up any room just by walking through the door.

I hope that the money raised can help make a difference to the lives of others who need it and that by raising awareness of charities like Mind, everyone knows there is always support available. Mind is a charity that now more than ever is so important as people need to be able to access timely mental health support - responding to the recent increase in demand.

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest offer a range of support and to members of the community who are struggling daily with their mental health and I hope this money will have an impact. All donations are really appreciated.

Sending lots of love to to all friends and family of Josh - he will be so missed and I'm sure will leave a lasting imprint on the lives of so many.
