Story

Our story? How long do you have? ;)

Amy- "I have been working at The Rainbow Centre for 6 and a half years now, watching the amazing team change lives and being lucky enough to be a part of that. I knew as a young child I was always interested in the Childcare industry, but never thought I would be where I am today. The Rainbow Centre goes above and beyond for the participants and Children, doing everything to promote independence and improve the quality of life for many. When joining Rainbow, whether you are a team member, child or adult participants you join a family. A warm and welcoming environment that I have the pleasure of working in! If you could please donate even a small amount to such a great cause it would mean a lot to me!"

Anna-“When I joined the Rainbow Centre back in September 2008, It became crystal clear very quickly I had found the job I was looking for with an amazingly caring team providing an incomparable service to children and families.

The Rainbow Centre is a unique early years centre, that provides an outstanding service for their participants. Being a charity, we have to work hard for every single penny we bring in. And behind every penny, there’s another family being supported. Our fundraising team is doing fantastic work enabling us to provide such a seamless day to day service for the children and their families. It costs an estimated £45.000 per month to cover the cost of these unique sessions and running the building and the team in it.

Over the years we have seen the centre come near to having to close due to financial hardship and then rose up again because of our amazing, supportive community. When the pandemic hit us, the biggest motivation was to keep providing for families that could not access anything else. Without Rainbow many families would have been left on their own throughout lockdown.

We have shared tears, sweat and joy together, so please think of us when it comes to donating to our fabulous charity.

Ps: I really do not like heights, so this *is* going to be a real challenge for me.

Thank you for taking your time and reading our page.

Love, A x”
