We provide wigs to children with cancer to restore their confidence and identity.

Story

On Friday the 18th of November 2022, I will be chopping and donating at least 16 inches  of my hair (hopefully more!) in support of The Little Princess Trust - a charity that provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. I have been growing out my hair over the past couple of years with the intention of donating and I have finally decided that it is now the time!

The Little Princess Trust is an organisation I came across a couple of years ago when I met a girl my age, now one of my closest friends, who suffers from alopecia - a disease that happens when the immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss with varying degrees of severity.

I also lost my grandad to cancer at a young age.

The charity deserves all the help it can get to continue its great work and I am hoping that, as well as donating my hair, I can raise some money for them too. I would love to reach £550, which is what it costs to make a real hair wig. The Little Princess Trust receive no formal funding.

For those that know me, I absolutely love my hair and I could not possibly imagine how hard it must be to lose it. I aim to raise as much money as I can for this very worthwhile cause.
