Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page in support of Parkinsons Disease research at the University of Sheffield.

I am running in memory of my dad Trev - although he wasn't personally affected by Parkinson's Disease he more than anyone always told me to stop talking about things and get sh*t done, so in my endeavour to #bemoretrev I am going to give it a go!

Anyone who knows me knows the thought of running for the bus is enough to give me stitch, so 5k may not sound a lot, but for me it may as well be a marathon.

I will be taking on a running challenge, to support the "Couch to 5K and raise £5K for Parkinson's research" campaign.

As a press officer I am very priveledge to see first hand the inspiring and life-changing research our scientists work tirelessly on to halt and prevent debilitating diseases such as Parkinson's.

Two more people are diagnosed every hour, thats 18,000 people every year, currently affecting 145,000 people in the UK alone in 2020. New treatments are needed to stop Parkinson's in its tracks, and your fundraising can make a difference.
