Story
This year I’m challenging myself to run my first marathon; the London Marathon to raise vital funds for the homeless charity, The Wallich.
The Wallich is doing something about homelessness. They give vulnerable people the accommodation and support to live safer, happier, more independent lives and become part of their communities. They believe everyone deserves the right to a home and to feel positive about their future.
The number of people experiencing homelessness has risen year-on-year for the last seven years and we are now facing an unprecedented demand for services. At 7.30 this morning, Rough Sleeper Intervention Teams were out in communities across Wales, offering a hot breakfast, warm drink, essential items and advice for around 100 people who were forced to sleep rough last night.
This vital service provides support 365 days a year - including Christmas Day.
Please sponsor me today and ensure The Wallich continues to offer a lifeline to people sleeping rough, helping them to take their first step out of homelessness.
