Hi we are Amy and Safia! We are 7 year old cousins and we are trying to raise money for a really important charity called Young Lives Vs Cancer!
This time last year a little girl, a member of our family that we absolutely adore was diagnosed with Leukaemia. She was just 3 years old when this happened and it was heartbreaking and made us feel really sad.
But good news! She is doing really well now and will even starts school this year!
Recently a family friend decided that she will run the London Marathon in October for Young Lives Vs Cancer. Our mummies tell us that this is an amazing charity that support children and their families following a horrible cancer diagnosis. We want to do our bit to help raise money for this charity too, so we have decided to do a really scary (but hopefully fun!) Go Ape Treetop Challenge on Sunday 3rd July! We have never done anything like this before and we are scared of heights, but we hope to raise lots of money for charity by facing our fear!
Our fundraiser is one of a number of fundraisers for the charity and we are working as part of a Team with our family friend Esther Fraser-Betts (the marathon runner) and her lovely family to raise as much money as possible.
Please please PLEASE consider sponsoring us! :)
Thank you for reading! We will update with photos soon! Xxx
YOUNG LIVES VS CANCER:
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to. At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. To find out more visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk
