Story
Thank you for supporting my fundraising page. I have been lucky enough to secure a place for the TCS London Marathon in April 2023.
Running has never been easy for me, if somebody told me a year ago, I would be taking part in the London Marathon I would have never believed them. This will be the biggest and hardest achievement of my life, something completely out of my comfort zone but I am determined to take on the challenge and I am so proud that I am doing it for such a good cause.
Macmillan is a charity close to many people's hearts. In 2020, I lost my grandad to cancer, and we weren't able to say our final goodbyes due to covid. My other grandad has also recently been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing surgery to remove this.
I have many close family, friends and colleagues who have also lost parents and loved ones due to this illness or who are currently battling cancer. I want to help make a change and support those who need it the most.
On average someone is diagnosed with cancer every 90 seconds in the UK. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So, it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
Please help me raise money for such an amazing charity and help get me to that finish line. Together we will beat cancer.
Thank you so much!
All my love,
