Story

This is my first marathon!  Having tried and failed to get into the 2009 London Marathon, I found myself browsing the internet and wondering how hard it is to get into other World Major Series marathons.  Blow me down, with Berlin there is no ballot, just pay your entry and you're in.  With a squeal of mild panic, I did exactly that.

So just how much training should go into a marathon?  Well maybe a little bit more than I've been able to do, a giant walk going by the name of Trailwalker got in the way a little bit in July, so I've not done quite as much training as I might have hoped.  But I'm confident that I can get round the course (thankfully Berlin is as flat as the proverbial pancake), with a little help from some generous sponsors!
