Just a short message to give you a bit about me and why I am doing this,,I’m a senior midwife of nearly 12 years I’m absolutely passionate and proud of what I do. You get to a point in your life professionally and personally to want to do more .. do more for others, help others, want a challenge and  give more of yourself but in a different way..this is why I’m doing this, I’m very fortunate to have what I have my health, a home, a job, a beautiful family and beautiful friends. My sons whom I adore are older now and growing into being fine young men, I have cherished their early days... but they need me in a different way,, and less and less...so I am therefore at the point to be able to do the things that I have always wanted to do... this being one!! I am so very lucky to also have the best amazing partner whom is my grounding,, it’s going to be challenging in a lot of ways but I promise to give my all ❤️ Thank you all for taking the time to look and if you choose to help me on this adventure to help others pass on my knowledge and skills I would be so very greatful, x

What will I be doing??  Well it’s a training visit, a group of us from different medical professions are heading out to visit the lira hospitals an University in Northern Uganda. Most of our time will be spent teaching Midwifery and Obstetric emergency skills alongside a range of basic healthcare skills. We all go in our own time and fund a proportion of the trip,, it is such a great opportunity for personal development and to use and share our expert midwifery/obstetric/emergency skills and knowledge for the benefit of mothers and babies in the developing world.
