Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, in memory of my Bampy Peter.
In February 2015, my Bampy was diagnosed with a glioblastoma grade 4, an extremely aggressive, cruel brain tumour. Bampy Peter fought the tumour bravely until he was taken from us in October 2017.
My Bampy Peter was the most incredible caring and selfless Grandad, he was always there for us and travelled so often to spend time with us wherever my Dad was posted. Grampy Peter worked hard all of his life to provide for his family, giving so much love and fun along the way. Grampy Peter lives within all of his grandchildren, he has help to mould us to be the young people we are today, he has inspired and shown us what makes a good man and we are, I feel so privileged to have had him as my Grandad.
Before my Grandad's diagnosis I was totally unaware of how many lives are taken each year because of brain tumours. The Charity has helped me and my family to better understand my Grandad's diagnosis and continues to provide support now that he is no longer suffering.
The Brain Tumour Charity are doing some fantastic research and support families like ours who have been affected by brain tumours. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Brain cancer is woefully underfunded and receives less than 1% of national cancer funding in the UK.
Please give generously - it's a deserving cause.
